Yesterday was a total bust as far as writing is concerned. Today hasn't been much better, but some is better than none!

New Words: another 700 or so on "Chosen"
Reason for stopping: Still working on the same scene, though now I've figured out how to split it. The total words for the scene right now are 1,382.
Drinking: water and coffee
Sustenance: Most recently, I had some broccoli and some really good multi-grain bread
Today's words Word don't know: n/a
Mean Things: Djivan's being a little callous
Tyop du jour: n/a
Sample!
Finally, Djivan spoke. "I know this isn’t easy. This is part of who we are. Being Chosen isn’t just about being ‘special’ and having glamorous, ‘cool’ abilities." There was a sarcastic edge in his voice at that. "With the good comes the bad – some of that you already know and experience, and maybe those have just seemed like inconveniences to you. But there’s more to it than that. We are our family’s protectors, and because of that, death walks behind us, always. It might help if you thought of us as soldiers; most of the time, there is peace and no one gets hurt, no one dies. But then something happens, and there is war, and then we have to fulfill our duty."

Meh - still feeling pretty much as if everything is crap.

An inaccurate word count is 20,614. I'll let you know when it's more accurate again.

Desperation is the raw material of drastic change. Only those who can leave behind everything they have ever believed in can hope to escape.

William S. Burroughs

If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what is within you will destroy you.

Gospel of Thomas, 70
