Yes, you. All 'o youse crafty people on my f-list. I need your help.

I have too much jewelry, and jewelry boxes just aren't cutting it. I need something that can safely hold and display (because that's always part of the problem, finding the thing I want to wear) earrings (studs and danglies), necklaces, bracelets and rings. I was thinking it should be something that could be mounted/hang on a wall. Many, many years ago, my landlady made me this hook thingee that hangs on the wall and holds necklaces...but I need something bigger, that can hold more stuff (maybe something that has hinges and "pages" like a book that can be turned somehow).

I was thinking something covered in fabric somehow, that the earrings could pierce and stick in, but....

Ideas? Thoughts? Designs?

Good: I'm knitting! I'm knitting! k1p1
Bad: I'm still somehow managing to occasionally add a stitch, and I can't figure out how I'm doing it.

Good: I can afford to buy some real vanilla beans from regyt
Bad: I can't afford to have her make me a custom chainmail bracelet.

Good: All of the wee imps are ready to be mailed (**there won't be any cute notes in the envelopes because I don't have time - I'm headed to the post office post haste after typing this missive)
Bad: No more new BPAL for a month or so.

Good: Did the dishes early this morning
Bad: Doing the dishes revealed there is a clog in the main drain for the entire house. Water backed up into our laundry room, and thus now we're at the "No showers allowed, no water running, and try not to have to go to the bathroom anytime soon, either."
Really Bad: I need to go to the bathroom.

Anyway, heigh ho, heigh ho, off to the post office I go!
